Leadership: Representative Chaka Fattah has a reputation in Congress as a leader in environmental issues and specifically, the transformation to alternative energy. As a member of the subcommittee on Energy and Water Development, e has consistently supported legislation that seeks to move away from fossil fuels and towards a new economy based on sustainable energy technology.
Fattah is currently the leading legislative advocate for the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants Program, which will assist local communities in Pennsylvania in the development of programs to implement major energy efficiency and conservation projects.
