Leadership: New Jersey is one of the nation’s leaders in developing alternatives sources of energy. That’s why Congressman Lance voted for legislation that would invest in research and development of clean and renewable fuels like solar an wind power as well as alternative fuels. Congressman Lance has voted favorably on pro-ocean legislation such as the Marine Turtle Conservation Reathorization Act of 2009, the Southern Sea Otter Research and Recovery Act, the Clean Estuaries Act of 2010 and more. He was also one of only eight Republicans that supported the Waxman-Markey climate bill and he continues to maintain a fair and balanced perspective on energy policy.
