In his last term, Congressman Lance has also supported important legislation such as the Water Resources Reform and Development Act of 2013, stating, “Our Nation’s waterways and ports have long been vital to American economic growth and prosperity.”

In the past, Congressman Lance has voted favorably on pro-ocean legislation such as the Marine Turtle Conservation Reauthorization Act of 2009, the Southern Sea Otter Research and Recovery Act, and the Clean Estuaries Act of 2010. He was also one of only eight Republicans that supported the Waxman-Markey climate bill and he continues to maintain a fair and balanced perspective on energy policy.
