Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a great time of year, filled with tradition.  Many families have their own special rituals, and nearly all take the time to give thanks for what they have.  At Ocean Champions, we're thankful too.

We're thankful for the oceans and all that they provide.  Beyond oxygen, food, medicine and clean energy, we're thankful for the emotional sustenance they deliver.  No matter what is happening in our lives, when we get near the ocean, we relax and feel good.

Our two top priorities - passing legislation to prevent and control toxic algae, and obtaining a National Ocean Policy - are moving rapidly, and we're thankful for the great work our friends in Congress and the Administration have done to advance these issues.

Last but definitely not least, we're thankful for the incredible support we've received from our friends, members and activists, and for the camaraderie we experience in the ocean community.  Fighting for the oceans with you on our side is rewarding and energizing.  This has been a great year for progress on ocean health, and you've been a big part of it.  Thank you.
