Presidential Memorandum and Proclamation

President Obama issued a memorandum today establishing an Interagency Ocean Policy Task Force. The Task Force is charged with developing recommendations for a national policy for the oceans, our coasts and the Great Lakes, improved policy coordination, and a framework for coastal and marine spatial planning. The President also issued a proclamation establishing June as National Oceans Month.
